Our Story
Our journey began in 1992 when Matt Trivane, our owner, started fabricating custom laminate countertops and cabinetry with his father in a shop in Edgewater, Maryland. As the business flourished, Matt and his family members transformed About Kitchens and More, Inc. into a thriving entity in 1992. However, the economy took a downturn in 2007, and Matt regrouped with his wife to form About Kitchens and Baths LLC, with the intention of keeping the same name and values while adapting to a new business model.
Our Team
Our team consists of experts with diverse skill sets and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Matt Trivane, our owner, is a 20/20 and Auto CAD certified designer with 29 years of experience in the industry. Catherine Trivane, our co-owner, handles finances and assists the team in various aspects of the project. David Kapp, a graduate of Edinboro University, has 15 years of experience in the industry and specializes in technical design. Michael M., our jobsite foreman, has 14 years of experience and is dedicated to ensuring client satisfaction.
Michael and David's extensive industry expertise is complemented by our lead installers, Tim S. and Zachary T., who have over 25 years and 14 years of experience, respectively. Tim specializes in cabinetry, while Zachary excels in attention to detail. Tyler S., our newest lead installer, joined the team in 2019 and has rapidly become an expert in bathroom remodels and tile work.
